At Tribco, we value our Project Management Internship Program because it gives us the chance to build up the industry by helping develop the next generation of construction professionals. It’s really a win-win for all involved: Our interns receive hands-on training and experience while we acquire much-needed temp help during our busiest time of year. Oftentimes, our interns will return to our company after graduation to take on full-time positions.
This summer, two college students participated in our internship program:
- Jessica Lopez, a civil engineering major at University of Illinois, Chicago.
- Matthew Stein, a civil engineering major at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Matthew Stein
Jessica came to us with military experience, during which she was part of several small construction projects around the country and the world. Tribco gave her a chance to gain experience in larger-scale, more complex construction projects in the beautiful city of Chicago. She also chose Tribco because of our expertise in concrete construction; she intends to focus her college training on concrete design and construction. Thank you for your service, Jessica!
Matthew chose Tribco because of our strong reputation in the Chicago area. We also offered him opportunities to gain experience in all aspects of concrete construction, both in the field and on the “office side.” Matthew is currently designing the concrete mix for UIUC’s concrete canoe team—good luck, Matthew, we know you’ll do great!
Congratulations to our interns on a job well done! We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
